Other Important Policies

  • Waiver — This page contains LVFA’s waiver of liability and must be signed before engaging in activities within the club.

Billing Policy

  1. Every member will be placed on autopay either by debit/credit or ACH.

  2. There is a 2-week cancellation notice by text or email required. Telling a coach or staff member is not adequate.

  3. If a member leaves and rejoins, they will be assessed a $50 re-registration fee.

Equipment Policy

  1. All students will have their own masks (helmets), gloves and fencing jackets (Total cost ~$150-300) within 2 weeks of joining. We will assist equipment purchases online. Come see one of the coach James to help with the measurement and purchase. We will lend equipment for 2 weeks.

  2. All students, except children beginners are expected to have their own electric metal weapons (about $100).

  3. After the two-week period, equipment rental will be a non-refundable $50 a month.

Membership Hold Policy

  1. Membership pauses of up to 12 weeks can be granted by request (via text or email only) for a $50 fee.  Billing will automatically restart after the agreed membership pause unless intent to terminate membership is provided in writing to the fencing club within 2 weeks of hold ending. 

  2. If a membership should require a pause for medical reasons, a letter from a physician should be submitted to our membership services.

Refund Policy

  1. No refunds will be offered.

Private Lesson Policy

  1. Coaches are independent contractors. All payment arrangements will be made through them.

  2. Coach James, Coach Carlos or Coach Aliya: $45 for 30 minutes

  3. Coach Abby: $25 for 30 minutes

  4. Students are expected to show up 10 minutes prior to scheduled private lesson time. Students should use this time to stretch, get dressed, and prepare to start the lesson.
